Nor Azmi graduated from the San Francisco State University in San Francisco, California with a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. He has been using Linux since 1994 based on the Slackware distribution, and is still an avid user of "The Mother Of All Distributions". A practitioner of the self-learning process and a believer of open source as the wealth of knowledge that could take everyone to different heights.

A seasoned programmer in Assembler Language, Virtual Basic, Cobol, C, C++, Perl, PHP, SHELL scripter and Java. Nor Azmi has the industrial experience within the following operating system IBM S/360, IBM TPF, AS400, AIX, Sun Solaris, MS-Dos, Microsoft Windows, Unix and Linux. He is also well-versed with the following relational database system such as Informix, PostgreSQL, Oracle and MySQL.

His extensive resume includes working experience in various industries -- telecommunication, health, banking, software house, manufacturing and airline. As such, he was the ex-software development manager and the core solution architect team for the Malaysia Telehealth Project.

Nor Azmi is a trained Motorola Six Sigma and Quality System Review internal consultant. He is also a trained Information System Auditor specialising in telecommunication systems and has extensive knowledge and exposure in mobile billing system and fixed line telco exchange.
